Canadian Club 2005
Canadian Club
Une exposition du club de Toronto "Persona Volare."
Catherine Bédard, Director of Visual Arts Service at the Canadian Cultural Centre in Paris, France, has invited Persona Volare to install projects in the galleries and non-gallery spaces throughout the Embassy from mid February to May. Installations will be found in hallways, stairwells, and washrooms, in the galleries and in windows, on flagpoles, in the outdoor courtyard, as projections, projectiles and projectables.
Canadian Club will be a spirited, loaded, tipsy, euphoric, exhilarating, and stimulating intervention at the Canadian Cultural Centre.
Our intention is to create an exhibition that contains metaphors of intense conversation, intoxicating highs and resolute instinct. The unique characteristics and qualities of the Canadian Cultural Centre pose an arousing challenge for a group of multi-disciplinary and site-specific artists, such as we are. There will be video projections and monitors, sound, digital imagery, text, film, painting, drawing, photography, print making, sculpture, as well as liquid and electronic diversions.
Canadian Club will ignite, inebriate, activate, agir sur, animer, déclencher, debauch, presser (une touche), metre sous tension, and celebrate intervention, subterfuge and art while at the Canadian Cultural Centre.
