T.V. For TeeVee
A video of a playground dome is seen in reflection on top of a print by Jamasie TeeVee. The slowly spinning dome was created using 3D animation and, as such, exists completely outside of real space. The igloos in TeeVee’s print, although based upon real dwellings, are rendered as if it they are brightly coloured children’s play structures or abstract sculptures. Most of us have never seen an igloo, yet it has become an emblem of the North, vivid in our collective imagination. The installation explores its similarities with the playground dome, designed for vivid imagining.
